Plein Air Easel Shelf Modified

This was my original easel shelf that my husband cut from a piece of leftover birch plywood.

After using it the other day, I had him add the cutouts for my
medium and turps holders.

This shelf is so useful.
Tomorrow I will give it another try as spring is finally here.
The days are warm and sunny and the snow is almost gone.

Thanks for visiting.  I hope you found this information useful.

  1. I would like to add a suggestion. Winds can kick up and send your pallet flying. Pack and put a little museum puddy under the palette to keep it anchored.

    1. Thanks, Gabriele, good suggestion. I usually hold my palette while painting, but the putty sounds interesting. I've seen an artist use a thin bungee cord across his palette on a windy day.
